Diamond Dotted Paper (DDP)
It is made of insulation press paper and partially coated with epoxy resin on one or both sides and dried. The advantage of partially coated insulating press paper lies in strengthening the coil internally without sticking to the conductor; this provides passage for rapid evacuation of air and moisture during the drying process. Partial discharge also minimizes the risk of rapid impregnation and oil flow through the channels. The bond strength of the epoxy resin is sufficient to prevent displacement of the winding layers due to short-circuit forces.
