Polyimide Film (Kapton)
Kapton, polyimide film has high and low temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, electrical insulation. Kapton Type HN is a tough, aromatic polyimide film that exhibits an excellent balance of physical, chemical and electrical properties over a wide temperature range.
Kapton has been used successfully in low temperature applications of -452°F (-269°C) and high temperature of 752°F (400°C). Designed for applications where extreme heat and vibration are present. Diamond Dot Paper (DDP)
It is made of insulation press paper and partially coated with epoxy resin on one or both sides and dried. The advantage of partially coated insulating press paper lies in strengthening the coil internally without sticking to the conductor; this provides passage for rapid evacuation of air and moisture during the drying process.
Partial discharge also minimizes the risk of rapid impregnation and oil flow through the channels. The bond strength of the epoxy resin is sufficient to prevent displacement of the winding layers due to short-circuit forces.
PSP Mica Presband
It is made of two-layer laminated polyester on one side and psp on the other. It is used for winding purposes in small transformers and motors.
Because of its high chemical purity, presspaper PSP3055 and press paper PB2 are especially widely used in electrical machines, capacitors, motors, oil-cooled transformers, etc. It can be used as an insulation material in products with special properties.
